إرشادات المؤلف

Copyright and Licensing Statement

1. Open Access Philosophy

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Middle East (DPTME Journal) operates as a Gold Open Access journal. Our fundamental commitment is to ensure the widest possible dissemination of scientific research in Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation. All articles published in the DPTME Journal are freely available immediately upon publication without any subscription or access charges to the reader.

2. Copyright Policy (Authors Retain Rights)

Unlike traditional publishing models where authors transfer all rights to the publisher, the DPTME Journal operates under an author-friendly model:

  • Authors Retain Copyright: Authors retain the full copyright to their original research and scholarly content published in the DPTME Journal.

  • Publisher License: By submitting a manuscript, authors grant the DPTME Journal (published by SmartPhysio Int'l LTD.) an exclusive, irrevocable license to publish the article and to identify itself as the original publisher. This license permits the journal to host, market, and archive the article for the lifetime of the journal.

3. Licensing Policy (Creative Commons)

To maximize the visibility, use, and impact of the research, all articles published in the DPTME Journal are licensed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

This license is widely recommended by open access initiatives and is the standard for major academic funders and institutions globally. Under the CC BY 4.0 license, anyone is free to:

  • Share: Copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format.

  • Adapt: Remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, even commercially.

The only requirement is Attribution: Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made. This must be done in a reasonable manner, but not in any way that suggests the licensor endorses the user or their use.

4. Self-Archiving and Repositories (Green Open Access)

The DPTME Journal encourages authors to share their work and strictly adheres to its CC BY 4.0 commitment regarding self-archiving:

Accepted Manuscript (Author Accepted Manuscript - AAM) Institutional repository, funder repository, personal website. Immediately upon official acceptance of the manuscript.
Published Version of Record (PDF) Institutional repository, funder repository, or other openly accessible database, provided the article is clearly linked to the DPTME Journal website. Immediately upon publication on the DPTME website.

 

Authors are strongly encouraged to include the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) and a link to the published article on the DPTME Journal website in all self-archived versions.

5. Policy on Re-Use

The DPTME Journal's commitment to the CC BY 4.0 license means:

  • Commercial Re-Use: Permitted, provided proper attribution to the original DPTME article is maintained.

  • Educational Re-Use: Highly encouraged for classroom use, course packs, and academic training materials, without requiring separate permission from the journal.

  • Translation: Permitted, provided the translation is clearly marked as a derivative work and properly attributes the original DPTME article.
